JOANNE MOLLOY HIGHLY COMMENDED AT IoD NI AWARDS

The renowned Institute of Directors Northern Ireland (IoD NI) Director of the Year Awards took place this year at Belfast’s Merchant Hotel where Managing Director of Castlewellan based TS Foods, Joanne Molloy, received special recognition.

The awards are designed to celebrate strong leadership, corporate governance and to recognise excellence across the business community.

Joanne Molloy – who is part the second-generation to run the chilled and frozen food company – was shortlisted in the Family Business Director of the Year category.

 

While Ashely McCulla of McCulla transport picked up the main award for the category, Joanne received a ‘Highly Commended’ award due to the standard of her entry.

The award was sponsored by BDO, with their Tax and Wealth Management Partner Maybeth Shaw commenting:

 

‘We were greatly impressed with the standard of all entries and it’s hugely encouraging to see the standard of leadership we have here in Northern Ireland.

 

Joanne Molloy in particular deserved acknowledgement and as such we were delighted to present her with a Highly Commended Award due to the standard of her entry which was reflective of her outstanding contribution to the company over the last 12 months.’

 

Joanne Molloy also added:

 

‘It was truly humbling to be nominated and shortlisted for an award in the first place, but to receive this special recognition on the day was amazing.

 

This award is a reflection of not just my efforts, but those of the whole management team at TS Foods.We pride ourselves in taking a proactive approach to leadership and business growth and I am delighted  that this has been recognised.’

 

The family run TS Foods operates from its original site on Mary Street, Castlewellan and has been bringing beloved brands including TS Foods Stuffings, Ann’s Kitchen, Tony’s Chippy and The Stuffing Company to trade and consumers alike for the last 40 years.
