We are pleased to announce that we have recently committed to a major employee development programme which will see £66,000 invested into the development of our people, with half of this amount coming from Invest NI.
Based in Castlewellan since we were founded in 1978, we’ve seen our workforce more than double over the last four years – from 49 people in 2014 to over 100 now.
Over the last couple of years, we’ve established a dedicated HR Department who are not only focused on growing the team but ensuring that job satisfaction and career development is a major priority going forward and continued training is a core focus of this development agenda.
Eimear McKibbin, HR Officer at TS Foods, says:
“We work very hard to recruit the right people to our company. We recognise that people are our success and we want to attract and retain the best talent, ensuring we develop our employees to realise their full potential.
Working in conjunction with Invest NI we’ve secured 50% of external costs of training. This funding equates to just over £33,000 which will be invested into four distinct areas: Management Development,Technical Skills, Soft Skills, and Functional Skills.”
Joanne Molloy, Managing Director added:
‘By investing in and improving the skills of managers and employees we hope to increase the morale, flexibility and motivation of our workforce. Given our long standing relationship with Invest NI, we knew they would be best placed to advise us on how to approach this project. This is an immensely important strategic investment for the business and is vital to ensuring its continued growth and overall productivity.’
